Hey! I'm Pineconn. :)

Thank you for downloading The Legend of Zelda: End of Time for your Zelda Classic. This game best works for Zelda Classic version 2.10. It may work on earlier versions as well, but use 2.10 to be safe.

My game is not the best-looking game, but it will throw a challenge in your way in several ways, such as multi-floored dungeons and a plethora of items to find. You need to uncover the puzzles and defeat the bosses to get the 8 Triforce pieces, as usual, to enter Ganon's Base.

The Overworld is an 8 x 16 grid, while the Underworld is a 5 x 6 grid. The dungeons can be anywhere. If there is a mistake that disallows you to move, therefore messing your game up, don't panic! To dodge it, (and it won't be fixed until I fix it), press F6 (or File -> Quit) then go to Continue or Save. Post on the ZC forums (see below) if you've found a mistake on my part. I will give you credit and fix it!!

If you find a mistake or cannot progress, go ahead and post in a thread (check to see if there might be an "End of Time" thread already, first) and post or ask your question in the ZeldaClassic forums, NOT PUREZC. I will gladly help you out. :)

There are 2 bomb upgrades, one sword slash to learn, and one magic upgrade. The heart pieces are fairly easy to find, but some MAY challenge you.

Please look out for my next game, using better graphics (PureTileset) "Link to the Heavens."

TIPS:
-----

Look for patterns on the overworld. Some may be an arrow, some sandy tiles outlining a single square, or a miscolored rock. Try bombing in these cases. Other bombable locations may be a dimple (indentation) in a mountain or in a seemingly-dead-end part of the screen. Remember, the Lens of Truth will help! Small bushes are burnable, too. (BTW, the sand conveyors in the desert is blowing sand!!!)

If you think you've run out of places to go in a dungeon, stop and take a look on your map (if you've found it). Obviously, there is one per dungeon. Look for doors you haven't gone through or parts of the dungeon that you have not entered. It might be a bomb wall. Always check with the Lens of Truth to not waste bombs. If all else fails, I guarantee you have either missed the item or didn't push a pushable block. Always push blocks! I have quite a few!

If the enemies are too tough, you may consider a few factors. First, try to find the rings for they boost your defense. Find swords which will boost your strength. The boomerang stuns some, the hammer makes Darknuts cake, the Pols Voice (bunnies) are killed with an arrow, and a well-placed bomb can take out an Aquamentus in one hit. Dodongos are killed with one Super Bomb (and obviously two regular bombs) and Digdoggers (yellow urchin-like enemies) dislike music. The hammer is as strong as the Magical Sword, so use that, too!

Buy potions! They replenish life! Potion combining is on, so buying two half-filled bottles will equal one full potion.

Buy information! People are there for a reason. Always listen to them. Some may give you directions for a path, some may tell you how to get something, or some may tell you where a dungeon is. However, one person is a scam...

Dungeons get much longer and more difficult as you progress. Don't be discouraged if you die. Keep at it and you'll come through. Dungeons are themed, too. You'll conquer a fire dungeon, a sandy dungeon, a water dungeon, and many more.

You can bring up an overworld map with the spacebar. You can look at all of the screens you've been on with the arrow keys and zoom with A and B. VERY HELPFUL.

And most importantly, have fun! I made this game so YOU can have fun. :)
